Any Other Business: Ade Harris offered to help with Range Maintenance It was agreed that the club .22 Armskor AK 47 should be sold and replaced with aNorinco
B/A .22 Rifle with Scope.
There was a discussion as to bolt being open or closed when
leaving the firing point, to clarify this position the Club would prefer:
- Firearms to remain
in their gun slips until needed.
- RCO approved movement of firearms
- RCO
give all instructions Load, Ready, Fire, Cease Fire, unload and Prove Weapons.
- RCO must give permission
after Proving a firearm is empty of ammunition, for that firearm to be sleeved in a gun slip / case.
- No
Firearms to be handled behind the detail firing.
- No Firearms to be handled whilst detail is patching targets.
- Due
to the different characteristics of the memberships firearms, it is impossible for all firearms to hold open their bolts/
firing mechanism, (such as .22 Semi auto Browning, B/P Revolvers, Nitro Cap & Ball Revolver B/P Pistols, B/P Rifles therefore
the RCO’s will prove the firearm and instruct it to be sleeved his decision is final.
- RCO’s
who have a British Military Background, who were qualified weapon training instructors, who were RCO approved should apply
this knowledge when in doubt.
